Just finished this using one of my favourite fabrics. A fabulous pattern from Ruby & Belle which was easy to understand and the finishing tips leave you with a case that also looks pretty on the inside.

My friend Mekaela from has just released two fabulous new patterns. This is the first one that l've made and it's the . A cute little sewing caddy that holds a silicone bobbin ring, pincushion and drawstring bag. Very handy for carrying all your bits and bobs. The patterns have in-depth instructions and lots of photos which make it easy to complete your caddy. Thank you so much for all of your lovely comments about my bag, I really appreciate your kind words. I’ve had a couple of questions about the embroidery pattern I used and I realised I’d forgotten to share. The embroidery pattern is by . It is a very in-depth pattern which I simplified as I was running out of time. She has some lovely patterns so check out her store if embroidery is your thing. Kind of wondering what my next project should be 🤔

I sewed something!!! I’ve hardly been sewing due to working nearly full time, keeping up with house stuff, child etc etc…you know the drill. This was my project for this years nighties challenge. The brief was to make a bag from recycled jeans. I chopped up a pair of Jag jeans, embroidered the centre panel, put it together and there you have it. There were some fabulous bags and mine was not the winner of the night. All the bags are being filled with hygiene products and donated to a charity for distribution. I hope my bag finds a lovely new owner 😀

Hands up if you have a very clever hubby who makes you a fancy embroidery hoop stand thingy. I have a really crook shoulder from hours holding embroidery projects but with this I can sit in my favourite chair and stitch away while watching tv. It’s fully adjustable different heights and angles no matter what type of chair I sit in. Hubby is already talking about modifications 😀
