Woolworths has the goods for you to serve crispy, salty, swicy bites that make any hangout feel instantly more impressive.

Hot Honey Haloumi 🍯🌶️
Prep: 10 mins (+ 2 hrs chilling) | Cook: 10 mins | Serves: 6

Ingredients:

2 x 180g pkts Woolworths haloumi
½ cup plain flour
½ tsp Woolworths ground paprika
1 egg, lightly whisked
1 ½ cups Woolworths panko breadcrumbs
Vegetable oil, for frying
½ cup Woolworths pure honey
1 tbs Frank’s RedHot sauce
1 tsp Woolworths dried chilli flakes

Method:

Crumb: Cut haloumi into 16 sticks. Combine flour and paprika in a bowl. Place whisked egg and breadcrumbs into 2 separate bowls. Dip haloumi sticks into flour, then egg (shaking off excess), and finally breadcrumbs to coat. Place on a plate, cover, and refrigerate for 2 hours to set. ⏳

Fry: Heat oil to 170℃ in a large heavy-based saucepan over medium-high heat (or until a cube of bread browns quickly without soaking up oil). Deep-fry haloumi in batches for 2–3 minutes until golden and crispy. Drain on a plate lined with paper towel. 🔥

Sauce & Serve: Combine honey, hot sauce, and chilli flakes in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on high in 30-second bursts for 1–2 minutes until hot. Arrange haloumi on a platter, drizzle generously with your hot honey, and enjoy! ✨
