Every year, Daniel Newport from the Pinnacle Fresh team makes the trip to Hong Kong to attend the 2026 Asia Fruit Logistica expo.
Every year, the bar gets higher.
Brands are campaigning and investing harder, and we're seeing incredibly innovative ways to process, package and present fresh produce from one of the most tech-forward places on earth.
For those who haven't attended, this expo covers the entire fresh produce industry, acting as a hub that connects industry professionals with the latest produce, products, supply chain support, and innovation entering the market. While the exhibition features brands from across the globe, it was the Asian market we came to explore.
We didn't exhibit any of our Pinnacle Fresh brands at this event, but we did experience strong interest in Australian produce and what's coming from Pinnacle Fresh. We also gained valuable insight into the shifting preferences of the Asian consumer and which Australian fruit is most in demand. Given the sheer size of this market, that insight is imperative for exporting the right quality of fruit, maximising sell-through, and avoiding waste.
Sometimes the most valuable part of an exhibition is simply being in the room and having a conversation about the brands you're passionate about. It might spark an entirely new way of thinking about the produce we know so well.
Highly recommend attending if you're in the fresh produce game.
