Lisa Wilkinson AM will share the never-before-told true history of the only Australian-born survivor of the sinking of the Titanic. She will be joined by Chris Hammer – a man known for his compelling crime fiction – who has turned his attention to the allure of Eastern shores of Australia. Now located in Jasmine Greens Park Kiosk in the Peninsula Recreation Precinct at Umina Beach, The Dip talks only cost $15 and include plant tips with Gardening Australia presenter Tammy Huynh, romantasy bestseller Lily Crozier, media personality Osher Gunsberg and true crime with journalist Charlotte Grieve.

We had a great time at Gosford Regional Library this past Tuesday evening, hearing Anne Buist Author Page and Graeme Simsion talk all about writing together, their huge Australian book shop crawl and most importantly, their latest book in the Menzies Mental Health series, The General Hospital!

This is a profound and engrossing Australian series based on Anne's experience working in psychiatry. A must read!

To enter, bring in a hard copy to the store before APRIL 24th.

TERMS & CONDITIONS 👇

Competition deadline is 24th April at 5:30pm. Entries are open to all Australian residents. To submit your entry, please hand in a physical copy to a staff member at BOOK FACE with your first and last name as well as contact details.

The competition is free to enter. Entries must be set in or feature the prompt. All entries must be between 800 - 1,500 words. If the entry is a picture book, it must be 10-15 pages.

Participants are allowed only ONE entry. Co-authored or group entries will not be accepted.

Entries will be separated into three age groups with a winner for each respective group. Shortlisted entries will also be given a prize.

Winners will be determined by the staff at BOOK FACE. The criteria will include: creativity with the concept, unique structure and plot, imaginative illustrations as well as punctuation and grammar.

BOOK FACE reserves the right to re-allocate awards if winners cannot be contacted. Winners will be announced and contacted by 27th May.
