Tell me about some of your favourite little country towns and their shops!

I love spending my days off exploring country towns and wandering through the little, locally owned shops that make each place unique. Sadly, in many towns that's becoming harder to do, as rising costs and changing shopping habits make it increasingly difficult for small brick-and-mortar stores to stay open.

Esk seems to be one of those wonderful little anomalies. Every day, visitors make their way to our town... perhaps it's the beautiful scenery, or maybe it's our convenient location between Brisbane, Ipswich, the Gold Coast and Toowoomba that makes Esk the perfect place to meet.

Whatever the reason, I'm incredibly proud to be able to offer both our visitors and our loyal locals a little country shop to enjoy. A place to browse, discover something handmade, have a chat, and experience the kind of small town shopping that I hope never disappears.

A rare sight to see on the street of Esk this afternoon. Only 9 mounted police officers in the state of Queensland and I was lucky enough to see this when closing up the shop this afternoon.

The Spot, Esk is now into its third week of operation, trading from the shop formerly known as Little Country Lane.
