Are you into collectables? The team at Newport were blown away to receive this extensive vintage teddy bear figurine collection. 🧸
These little bears have some serious history behind them. Many were designed by notable names in the miniatures world, such as Scottish sculptor Peter Fagan, who hand painted resin bears for Colour Box back in the late 1980s and 90s, each one with its own name and personality. Others came from well known makers like Enesco, whose Cherished Teddies range launched in 1992 with designs by artist Priscilla Hillman. New figurines from that range were retired every year from 1995, which is exactly why collectors still hunt down the older ones today.
Do you remember these teddy bears? Maybe you had a shelf of them growing up, or your mum or nan did.
