Thanks everybody for your kind messages. Slinky was quite unique. Her father, Tigon, was a Tazi hunting dog from Kazakhstan, given to Tim Cope as he rode his epic journey from Mongolia to Hungary ( In the Footsteps of Genghis Khan ) and her mother was Tim’s mum’s Saluki.

I’m sorry to share the sad news that our beautiful Slinky girl passed away last week. She would’ve been 12 in October. We will never have another dog like her, so queenly and uncomplaining, kept the deer, foxes and kangaroos away, always let us know when somebody arrived, a great friend to Bigsy and Poppy and sweet and patient with the grandchildren. There’s a huge hole in our lives.
