Events are back at Lore, and this month we have one coming up that we’re super excited for! ☕️

In collaboration with Crafternoon Tea, on the evening of Wednesday, September 23, we’ll be hosting a Perfumed Tea Party, an event all about linking the artforms of tea blending and perfumery.

Crafternoon Tea is a local tea business founded by certified Tea Master Amy Freund, dedicated to sharing the magic of tea through workshops, High Tea and special events.

On the evening of the event, Amy and our fragrance expert Laura will be matching bespoke tea blends to fragrances we stock at Lore; discussing how tea and perfume traditions are linked, how our senses of smell and taste overlap, and more… sipping and spritzing throughout, of course! 🍵

It’s going to be a multisensory experience that tea-lovers and fragrance-fanatics alike will enjoy, so make sure to book your spot now as there are limited available.

Today we’re doing Fragrance Friday a little differently, and talking about home fragrance rather than personal fragrance!

One of our favourite candles in the whole store is from Violet Eyes Entomology, a local brand founded by artist Jason Penfold.

We were lucky enough to have Jason in store the other day to chat to us about A Study of Honey - a handmade, luxury, scented candle inspired by his artistry, creative practice and love of the natural world.

We’re so proud to stock local artisanal brands like Violet Eyes Entomology at Lore - make sure you come in to have a look at some of Jason’s entomological dioramas available for purchase in-store only!

We are so excited to welcome ARTES to the Lore family.

ARTES is a Sydney-based fragrance house creating scents from memories. Founded by partners Erik Zhang and Artido Napitupulu in 2024, ARTES exists to carry people to moments worth remembering. Each fragrance begins with a memory or a dream, inspired by places the founders have been, worlds they’ve imagined, or stories waiting to be told. From a Parisian café during the Olympics to a hidden Kyoto teahouse at first light, every scent is crafted to evoke emotion, spark nostalgia, and transport the senses through time and place.

Our month of Fragrance Friday Soirées continues, and we’re particularly excited for this week’s event, because we’re launching a brand new fragrance house!

Jorum Studio launches this Friday at 3pm

Based in Edinburgh, Jorum is Scotland’s first and only luxury, niche, artisanal fragrance house. Perfumer-led by nose Euan McCall, their fragrances are technical masterpieces of perfumery, formulated with an emphasis on craftsmanship, originality and fearless creativity.

From 3-6pm this Friday, we’ll be talking about all things Jorum Studio. Come along to learn all about the brand, their fragrances, the stories behind them, and what sets them apart as a house.

We’ll also be offering a free Selective Memory Sample Set with every purchase of a full-size Jorum fragrance, for if you end up falling in love with one (likely, we think).

We’ll be doing wee Scottish-themed cocktails, showcasing rare Scottish botanicals, and just having a good old yarn about fragrance - what’s not to love?

Come along this Friday 3-6pm, we can’t wait to see you there!
