🏆 Podium at Round 4 of the Australian Kart Championship!

It was a challenging weekend, but we never gave up. Starting 10th in the final, Benito Montalbano drove an outstanding and smart race to fight his way through to 3rd place and secure another podium finish! 🥉

This result sees us sitting 2nd in the Championship, just 5 points off the lead, with only one round remaining.

Joel McGrath also secured a strong top 10 finish, setting lap times faster than the leader. After a challenging weekend overall, it was a well-deserved result and a great way to finish the round.

Joseph Belardo also put in a solid performance, narrowly missing the top 10 to finish 11th.

A huge effort from everyone involved. We’ll be working hard over the next six weeks to come back even stronger and give it everything at the final round. 🏆🔥

🏆🥇 It was a surreal feeling on Sunday to finally get the win. We’ve been chipping away since Round 1, and this weekend all the hard work paid off.

Benito leaves the weekend sitting first in the Australian championship standings with just two rounds remaining.

Joseph Belardo also had a strong weekend, setting some of the fastest laps and bringing home a solid P6 finish in the final.

Joel McGrath has been having an excellent season, but unfortunately his final race came to an early end after being involved in a collision on lap 3 while running inside the top 10, resulting in a DNF.

A big thank you to everyone who continues to support Shayne Piper Race Engines. We’re looking forward to carrying this momentum into the final two rounds. 🏁

Shayne Piper Race Engines was well represented over the weekend:

Joel McGrath had another strong outing finishing P2 at round two of the NSW State Championships and will head into round three as the series leader.

Bobby Burns also had a good run at the NSW State Championships. After starting the final out of P11 and racing his way up to as far as 5th, he finished in 9th place after an unfortunate penalty.

Sam Spiteri raced at round 3 of the Victorian Country Series where he achieved another top 10 finish with a 9th place, again, showing great pace and potential for a top 5 finish.

Cooper House raced at round 4 of Dunlop Kart Stars and finished in 7th place.

Well done everyone and thank you for representing Shayne Piper Race Engines!

We now focus our attention on round 3 of the Australian Kart Championships coming up in two weeks time in Townsville ✈️🏆
