Wednesday, 16-09-26, we hosted 1:32 scale slot car races, here. in Forster, on the mid-north coast of NSW.

We have a small 2-Lane, L-shaped wooden track, Made by Mr.Trax in Melbourne, with each lane being 21metres in length, complete with computerised Race Co-Ordinator race management, and reporting system, which takes the hard work out of commencing the races...and summarising heats and results.

Next week, we will be either racing at Undara Circuit, a fast flowing reasonably sized, 4-lane track, also here in Forster ; Or at: Shenanigan's Raceway, a large sized 4-lane track, located in nearby Taree, NSW.

A 4-racer contingent congregated from 10am with some practice and banter time, with actual racing starting at 11.00am, and the day finishing at around 5.00pm.
It was good to have Alan's return after some time being away.

Numbers were down, with people being unavailable due to travel, having work, or, with ailments.

There really is no better way to spend a Wednesday, than with good associates, and a lot of banter.

Unfortunately.....Paulo ran out of Fuel.....bad luck Paulo, especially when you had the race virtually in your hands!

Last Wednesday, 12-08-26, we hosted 1:32 scale slot car races, here. in Forster, on the mid-north coast of NSW.
We have a small selection of local track owners in our group, that make their tracks available for racing, on alternate weeks.
Next week, we will be either racing at Shenanigan's Raceway, a large sized 4-lane track, located in nearby Taree, NSW; Or at: Undara Circuit, a fast flowing reasonably sized, 4-lane track, also here in Forster.
A 3-racer contingent congregated from 10am practicing the track layout and tuning cars, with actual racing starting at 11am, and the day finishing at around 4.00pm with just 2 Racers.
It was great as usual, with everyone performing differently from last weeks' track placings. Numbers were down, with people being unavailable due to travel, having work, or, with ailments.
There is no better way to spend a Wednesday, than with good buddies, and a lot of banter, and this is a hobby that radiates that very thing.

The Fuel races operate under control that should you run out of fuel...Your race is finished! You can of course continue driving, but Race Co-ordinator does not record any additional laps.
Paulo was first to experience the walk-of-shame, and loneliness, of running-out of fuel during the Slot.It Can-Am race, after only completing 7 laps, due to an over-run of the Bowser and having to complete another lap, with limited fuel.

Our Sideways Lamborghini Hurracan Fuel Race was another, and probably the most notable of the day, where refuelling issues began with Paulo again, during his second heat with Raymondo....Paulo out! Next heat was with Raymondo and Nutsa-go-go, where Raymondo ran out of fuel, leaving Nutsa-go-go as the last-man-standing. During conversation while racing solo, Nutsa-go-go who was confident of winning, ran out of fuel with 3.54 still left-on-the-clock. Results in the end were: Paulo 1; Nutsa-go-go 2; Raygo 3.

Wednesday, 15-07-26, we got to host 1:32 scale slot car races, here. in Forster, on the mid-north coast of NSW.

We have a small selection of local track owners in our group, that make their tracks available for racing, on alternate weeks,
Racing was hosted last week, at Undara Circuit, a fast flowing reasonably sized, 4-lane track, also here in Forster.
Prior to that week, we raced at Shenanigan's Raceway, a large sized 4-lane track, located in Taree, NSW.

For quite some time now our track has been out-of-commission due to Trackmate Hardware issues which we had just replaced after an extended period, but couldn't seem to get RaceCo-ordinator to interface with Trackmate until today.

In-step Paulo, who saved the day after pressing a few buttons, and ticking a couple of boxes RaceCo-ordinator succumbed to pressure, and before you know it...Bingo! Great job Paulo, we are now back to normal with a modernised system.

I went Racing at Port MacQuarie last Saturday evening 23-05-2026 and came away with Second place in the 1:24 BRM Mini Race. Pretty happy with that. Congratulations to 'Riddler' for the win.
Had a great time with a good bunch of guys, and competitors.

Very close racing as it was all night throughout all the classes with riddler winning in a borrowed house mini with a better lap average than Ian and Kelvin who all finished on 57 laps over the 2 min heats one lap behind Djr and Troy one lap back Geoff and Squizz and another lap back to Jorgo and Alg.

Many people are refraining from travelling distance to attend slot-car events due to the sudden exorbitant expense of fuel.

Racing last Wednesday, 29-04-2026, was held at Cemetery circuit, Forster.
Laptimes, counting, cumulative totals and results, had to be done by hand, due to my slackness of not having my Race Co-ordinator repaired.
Fortunately for us, one of our drivers, the innovative Ray, got us up-and-running using a downloadable to phone Ap programme called 'LapTrax', which became our starter and 15lap Timer mechanism. Downloaded into 2 separate mobile phones, co-ordination of serparate starts was achieved.
Each 15lap time per lane was hand written onto a spread-sheet and when the racing was completed cumulative totals were added and the quickest times designated placings for the podium.
All-in-all, a quite good, different, day for attendees.
