This Tele came in for a setup and for once there wasn’t some hidden nightmare waiting for me. It was already in good shape.

I ended up raising the action ever so slightly, and that tiny change helped it open up a bit more tonally.

Also tried a set of Resonairr 10s and they felt/sounded seriously good on this guitar.

This Fender Jazzmaster came in for a setup, but once I pulled the scratchplate off I found a loose wire hiding in the cavity.

Turns out it was the ground wire connected to the trem claw — exactly the kind of little issue that can cause noise, buzzing, or weird electrical gremlins.

Just another reminder that sometimes the problem isn’t obvious until you get inside the guitar.

This Schecter 7-string Floyd had been sitting for ages — dusty, out of whack, and the sticker residue was a nightmare.

I did a full setup (new 10–62 strings, trem spring balance, clean-up) and brought it back to life.

Sometimes the guitar isn’t the problem — it’s the setup.

This PRS Hollowbody came in with no complaint, just an owner who never really bonded with it.

We went 9–46 ➜ 11–48, dialed the neck + action + intonation, and gave it a proper second chance.

🎄 Christmas Update from Bayside Guitar Setups 🎄

If Santa (or a very sneaky family member) is dropping a guitar under the tree this year, I’m here to make sure it plays as good as it looks.

I’ll be open every day over the Christmas break — except Christmas Day itself.
So if you’ve bought someone a guitar and want it in tip-top shape before the big reveal, get in touch ASAP so I can squeeze you in.

And if you’re lucky enough to unwrap a new axe on Christmas morning and want it playing its absolute best, I’ve got you covered too. Just shoot me a message between the leftover ham sandwiches and the backyard cricket.
