HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO US! 🎈

Seven years of Geelong Event Hire, Backdrops & Pop Up Picnics 🥹🩷

Seven years ago, I started this little business on my first maternity leave with no idea where it would take me.

Since then we’ve been part of hundreds of celebrations, sent thousands of emails, worked late nights and early mornings, squeezed a LOT of things into the back of cars 😂, had some pretty incredible opportunities and met so many beautiful people who have trusted me to be part of their special moments.

A Simple Wish has changed and grown alongside me over the years. It’s looked a little quieter around here lately while life has needed more of me elsewhere, but I’m still so proud of what I’ve built and so grateful that seven years later, I still get to call this little business mine ❤️

To every person who has booked me, come back and booked me again (and sometimes again 🥹), recommended me, shared a post, sent a lovely message or supported A Simple Wish in any way over the past seven years, thank you 🩷

Picnic season is officially here 🌸☀️

And if the first few days of spring are anything to go by, we’re in for some beautiful picnic weather ahead 🩷

We’re so excited to be heading back into our fave time of year for outdoor celebrations - from birthdays and hens parties to baby showers, proposals and everything in between.

Our picnic setups can be customised to suit your colours and style, with everything set up and ready for you to simply arrive and celebrate ✨

Spring + summer picnic bookings are now open for Geelong, the Bellarine + Surf Coast.

Out of office ☀️

For the remainder of June until 13 July, we’ll be taking some time to be present with our families during the school holidays.

During this period, we won’t be taking bookings and we’ll be taking a short break from admin and emails.

I’m a lover girl at heart, so every wedding holds a special place in my heart. But every now and then there’s a couple who leaves an extra little mark and Lani and Noah were one of them 🤍

Lani and Noah were an absolute joy from the first email right through to meeting them on the night. Their energy was infectious, their day was beautiful and these photos are every bit as gorgeous as they are.

As event suppliers, we often only get a tiny glimpse of a wedding day. We arrive, do our part and then head off while the magic continues. That’s why I love seeing professional photos come through afterwards. It feels like getting to read the rest of the love story ❤️

Thank you for letting us play a small part your beautiful day L + N. I have a feeling these two are going to have a very happy life together 💌

Soft pinks, beautiful florals and a little one on the way 🌸

We loved creating this baby shower tablescape, featuring our table styling, glassware and rattan pram filled with faux florals 🤍

Paired with cross-back chairs and tables from Surfcoast Party & Event Hire, it created the perfect space for family and friends to gather, celebrate and spoil a beautiful mumma to be ❤️

And the best part? It was all created in our client’s stunning backyard ✨

We loved creating this setup for Abby & Bronson’s engagement party at

Featuring our window arch backdrop, custom arch backdrop, ripple plinth and white faux florals, it created the perfect space for photos with family and friends throughout the night 📸

Because long after the cake is gone and the celebrations are over, the photos are what remain 🤍

This moment felt straight out of a Disney movie 🏰✨

Jemma & Joe’s wedding entrance at was pure magic, Disney music, happy tears and the most beautiful energy in the room from this gorgeous happy couple 🫶

These are the moments I LOVE and feel so honoured to be a tiny part of 🤍

Also, was absolutely killing it (as always) with the wedding reception soundtrack/prep music. Moana was playing while we were setting up and it had us all in a good mood before the guests even arrived 💃
