Less is more when it comes to open ended play. When a toy doesn’t tell a child exactly what to do, children have to use their imagination, figure things out, make decisions and come up with their own ideas.

Those little moments of figuring things out are building skills they’ll use for life: creativity, problem solving, flexibility, confidence and independent thinking — that’s the end goal here.
