Out with the old, in with the new. ☀️

This customer recently upgraded their solar system, replacing an older 3kW installation with a new 6.51kW system designed to deliver greater energy generation and improved long-term performance.

The new system features 14 x Winaico 465W panels paired with a Sungrow SH5.0RS inverter, providing a modern, reliable solution that will help maximise solar production and reduce reliance on grid power.

As household energy needs change over time, upgrading an older system can be a smart way to take advantage of advances in solar technology and improve overall energy efficiency.

Thinking your current solar system may no longer be meeting your needs? Talk to the team at Solar Power Gladstone about your upgrade options.

Another local solar installation completed. ☀️

This customer recently had a 6.51kW solar system installed, featuring a Sungrow SG5.0RS 5kW inverter. While battery storage wasn't part of the plan, the new system will help reduce electricity costs and make better use of Queensland's abundant sunshine.

The energy savings won't stop there. In the coming week, we'll also be installing a 180L iStore Heat Pump, helping to further reduce power consumption by providing an energy-efficient hot water solution.

Not every solar installation needs to be large to make a difference. The right-sized system, matched to a household's energy needs, can deliver significant long-term savings and improved energy efficiency.

At Solar Power Gladstone, the sales team might bring the jobs in… but Kylie makes sure they actually happen.

From coordinating schedules and managing bookings to keeping jobs moving and customers updated, Kylie is the one behind the scenes making sure the calendar stays under control and the wheels keep turning.

Let’s just say if scheduling solar installations was an Olympic sport, Kylie would probably have a gold medal by now.

Keeping tradies organised is no easy task, but somehow she manages to do it with a smile while keeping the entire sales process moving smoothly from start to finish.

A massive part of the Solar Power Gladstone team and one of the reasons things run as well as they do.

This week, we're going to celebrate the ladies of Solar Power Gladstone - because let's face-it...without them, Murray and Jeremy would just be standing there😆

Every business has that one person who knows where everything is, remembers everything, fixes everything and somehow keeps the whole operation moving.

At Solar Power Gladstone… that person is Angela.

Need paperwork sorted? Ask Angela.
Need schedules organised? Ask Angela.
Need to know what’s happening, where it’s happening and why it’s happening? Yep… ask Angela.

We’re pretty sure if the office lights flickered, she’d fix that too.

Behind every successful solar installation is a team making it happen and Angela is a huge part of keeping the wheels turning at Solar Power Gladstone.

Murrey and Jeremy may organise the solar systems… but Angela keeps the power flowing in the office.

What does a home battery system actually do?

This Sungrow Battery Energy Storage System stores excess solar energy generated during the day so it can be used later when the sun goes down or during a power outage.

Instead of sending all unused solar power back to the grid, a battery system allows homeowners to store and use more of the energy they generate themselves, helping reduce electricity bills and improve energy independence.

Modern systems like this Sungrow setup can also provide backup power to essential circuits in the home during outages, giving households added peace of mind.

Battery storage is becoming an increasingly popular addition to residential solar systems across Central Queensland as more homeowners look for smarter ways to manage their energy usage.

Another quality solar and battery installation completed by the Solar Power Gladstone team. ☀️🔋

This latest system features:
⚡ 24 x Winaico 465W panels delivering an 11.16kW solar system
⚡ Sungrow SH10-RS 9.999kW Hybrid Battery Ready Inverter
⚡ Sungrow SBH200 20kW Battery System
⚡ 50 Amps of backup power capability

With a setup like this, the client is not only generating strong solar output during the day but also storing energy for use at night and during power outages.

A great example of how battery-ready systems are helping households take greater control of their energy usage while improving energy security and reducing electricity costs.

Another neat installation by the Solar Power Gladstone crew.

Thinking about adding a battery to your solar system?

The Federal Government's Cheaper Home Batteries Program has made home battery storage more affordable, with discounts of around 30% available on eligible battery systems connected to new or existing solar. The program was updated on 1 May 2026, and the value of the incentive will continue to reduce every six months, including the next reduction at the end of December 2026.

If you've been considering a battery, now is a great time to explore your options before the next reduction takes effect.

At Solar Power Gladstone, we don't just sell batteries – we have battery systems installed in our showroom so you can see them up close, ask questions and better understand how they work with your home or business solar system.

Whether you're looking to reduce your power bills, increase your energy independence or make better use of the solar energy you're already generating, we're happy to help you understand what battery storage could mean for you.

When it comes to energy independence, this customer didn't do things by halves.

The Solar Power Gladstone team recently completed the installation of a 13.02kW solar system featuring 28 high-performance Winaico 465W solar panels, paired with a Sungrow SH10RT 9.99kW three-phase inverter and a powerful Sungrow SBH200 20kWh battery system.

The result is a system designed to maximise solar generation during the day, store excess energy for use when needed and provide serious backup capability when the grid goes down. With around 12,000 watts of backup power available, there's enough capacity to keep far more than the essentials running during an outage.

The large battery capacity also allows the customer to make the most of the energy they generate, reducing reliance on the grid while maintaining peace of mind knowing backup power is ready when required.

Whether you're looking to reduce power bills, increase energy security or future-proof your property, Solar Power Gladstone can design a system tailored to your needs.

Now that's putting the Queensland sunshine to work.
