Ever noticed that a caravan park's greywater drain point is never quite in the right spot to allow all of your waste to drain out of your caravan, camper or RV? The drain point is either it's too high above or too far away from the outlet of your mobile vehicle. Several problems you may have noticed are, after long stops the gravity drain hose can become blocked with debris and slows the flow, the TPW system self-cleans the drain hose every time it operates, if your washing machine drains at the same time you let the plug go in your sink with a standard gravity drain system there's a good chance you could flood your van out of the drain hose pipe inside your van, with the TPW system (strenuously tested) you have 30 litres of storage while the pump runs as well the entry point to the well allows grey water to escape if an issue occurs not inside your van. By using a TPW system you don't rely on gravity to transfer your greywater the automatic pump in your pump well transfers the grey water threw standard 19mm garden hose for as far as you have hoses and can lift over 3.00 meters in height above the wells position at your van or RV also, when your off grid, you can discharge the waste away from the caravan or RV without carrying huge amounts of large drain hose, we use a standard sprinkler on the end which when moved around saves gouging the land.
How about when you get home from a free camping adventure and your greywater tank is still full and the drain point is too far away, use the TPW system for discharging your greywater from your grey water tank into a sewerage point at your house (you can leave it set up if visitors are using your mobile vehicle for an extended stay) or put the sprinkler head on it and water your lawn or garden. Do you own a camper trailer with a kitchen/shower, are you sick of carting buckets back and forth to the drain point, or when your free camping u still have to cart the slops bucket, with a TPW system all you need is a 12 volt Anderson plug near were you want to position your TPW system, the same as your Caravan/RV friends, simply put your waste line into the pump well and run your hose out to the drain point on your site, or throw a sprinkler head on while your off grid.
Here are some specifications of the TPW system - The holding tank is a 30 litre single walled polypropylene sealed box with an aluminum screen running diagonally across the bottom stopping floating waste matter from entering the pump section from the waste inlet side, with 1 drain points down low, the drain on the pump out side can also be used for a gravity system (by simply removing the cap and putting the 19mm hose connection fitting of the pump out bend onto the drain) if you free camping and needed to save power not running the pump (using the TPW this way as an external holding tank still afford you the peace of mind that the van can't be flooded)and the other pump out line is at high level (with 19mm garden hose fitting) - a 60mm van drain inlet in the lid allows for the largest of van/RV plumbing outlets, inside is an automatic bilge pump (with a 3 year Australia-wide manufacturers warranty) the pump moves 41 litres a minute which is more than sufficient to keep up with a discharging washing machine or kitchen sink and with a running shower. It's a 12-volt pump which draws 3.5 amps of power using an Anderson plug connection which can be mounted under the caravan/RV/camper trailer near the drain point using a fused designated supply from the vans/RV/Camper trailer 12 volt storage batteries, or utilize your car connection.
The system uses a 19mm garden hose pump out line that can run as far as the amount of hose you want to carry with you and can lift 3.00 meters in height above your well position.
When you're reading to move camp, simply disconnect the power, disconnect the pump out hose, attach the hose to a pressure water supply and flush the greywater out, put the plug in the waste on the lid and your off (the small amount of liquid left is OK sealed in the box till the next camp, if you've finished for with the system for a while carry the pump well to a cleaning area, drain the last of the waste, if it's been in use for a long period before storage we use a good detergent turn the well on the drain hole end and hose out and try to dry out before storing away.
