Do you know what I love more than anything as a sewer and creator? When I see one of my creations in the wild and it's loved as much as I loved making it.

This crossbody bag was ordered by a friend to give to her son for his 23rd birthday 12 months ago. I had the pleasure of meeting her son for the first time at a birthday get together a week ago and he was wearing this bag...the bag I made.

What made it even more special was that he said he wears it all the time and puts together his outfits around the bag.

I couldn't love this more ♡

Sometimes it's almost impossible to turn a bag the right way out. I'm surprised I didn't rip the lining on this one.

Current status: casually starting a project that could potentially outlive me. 😂

This is Hiver (Winter), a vintage French tapestry from the 1950s/60s that I found on Marketplace.
She's HUGE — 72cm x 57cm (28¼" x 22½") — and absolutely gorgeous.

The plan: enjoy every stitch.

The reality: I'll probably finish sometime around 2047. 🤣

And yes, I also have Été (Summer) from the Seasons set.
That one is currently scheduled for completion in my next reincarnation. ☀️🧵

Alright, moment of truth… let’s see what latch hook cushion design .studio sent.

Okay wait—this already looks way more promising than my last one…
We’ve got the grid fabric canvas, a latch hook, and—important question—do we have enough wool this time?? 👀

Oh my gosh, the colours are so beautiful … I’m so excited to start this.

This is already feeling like a much better experience.

Who says old clothes have to go to waste? I'm breathing new life into this dress by turning it into a gorgeous tiered maxi skirt. The bottom of the dress is already tiered, so I'm hoping it'll be a simple transformation. Join me in Part 2 to see how it all comes together!
