A work life spanning over two decades, one that has thrived on creativity, drive and connection.

Although some may see this as a range of jobs, they’re all interwoven by design, an artform with different mediums, all made by hand, with love. But fundamentally almost all have been situated in what I call “the plant world”.

I share this as a reminder that I am human, there’s a real person with their own trials and tribulations and I want to share the realness and rawness in a world that’s somehow become so manicured and obsessed with only showing the end result.

Appreciation post for Peta 🫶🏻

Over the last couple of years we’ve created florals for some pretty special events at some amazing venues and all of it couldn’t have been possible without the support and belief from Peta. A bonus has also been that along the way, I’ve met many incredible people but one (two) in particular is Kristel (and her mum ofc) from IZKO Events•Kristel Kishtoo - Gold coast Event Stylist 🥰

Long story short, Peta has seen Blumenhaus grow from our itty bitty baby days for the first Mother’s Day Event (🩵🤍💛 colour palette) all the way through to the most recent Mother’s Day Event (🤎🧡💛❤️ colour palette).

So, thank you Peta, for believing in me and Blumenhaus and I hope you have the best time in your next venture 🫶🏻

An incredible Winter’s afternoon spent with these lovely ladies indulging in High Tea at BONAPPETEA followed by a flower “smashing” session creating our own tote bags to take home 💕

Together we raised $180AUD for National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) 🙏

Day 1 of wedding prep (part 1)
It’s now nearly 11am Friday 22nd May, I haven’t had any breakfast but I have done a market trip down to the girls at .official to pick up this order for a wedding on Tuesday 🥰
I start the day by dropping my little one off to Kindy, I then make a trip down to the flower market in complete silence as I go over in my head what I need, what I ordered, thinking about the mockups and the colour palette.
I get to the market and the girls have my order ready and it’s looking GORGEOUS! I of course, bring them all back and put them in their buckets of water so they stay hydrated.
I’m now off to my local .gc for a much needed coffee and food, so I can come back energised and spend the rest of the day processing all these blooms and foliages. Dividing them all into their respective recipes:-
1x bridal bouquet
6x bridesmaids
1x groom
8x lapel corsages
1x wrist corsage
2x page boys
4x petal boxes

I will post part 2 of day 1 (processing) at some point over the weekend but you’ll have to wait for the remaining days where I show the processes of creating everything 😉 my Bride and Groom ALWAYS get priority when it comes to their florals and getting to surprise them on the day is the most nerve wracking yet rewarding part of this whole thing! 🥰

This year I have signed up for GO PINK to raise funds for breast cancer research. My way of going pink will be through colouring my hair pink (partially), holding a giveaway where one lucky supporter can win a GORGEOUS floral arrangement as a thank you (more details coming soon) and I am also in talks with the amazing Cathyland Art for a potential floral & paint workshop for people to show their support for this cause as well (more details to come on this in May)!
