Our $2 book sale is on again - Saturday 13 June from 10am to 4pm. Thousands of books all $2 or 10 for $10. Many quality books from our collection and many others outside of our usual fare - crime, history, recent fiction, vintage books. Don’t miss it.

This week across the road at the fabulous , presents Machinal, written in 1928 by forgotten 20th century playwright Sophie Treadwell. She was a feminist and early modernist, with Machinal standing as one of the germinal texts of expressionist theatre. Strongly recommend this one - we’ve got a double pass to give away to any session. If you’d like it comment here and I’ll message the winner at the end of the day today (Tuesday). xx

Beyond excited to hear that two South Australian writers Natalie Harkin and won the NSW Literary Awards tonight. They are both such extraordinary writers and people.
