Hello! 👋🏻 Pleased to meet you! A warm welcome to all our new followers, longtime supporters, and book friends we haven’t met yet. We’ve had so many new faces join us recently, so we thought it was the perfect time to reintroduce ourselves.

Opening in June 2021, the Wimberley & Co Bookstore is a local, family-owned business nestled in the heart of Goomeri. While our town may be small in size, Goomeri’s spirit and warmth are truly limitless—and we’re incredibly proud to be part of this community.

Our building holds more than a century of stories. Originally a central store run by the Wimberley family, it’s an honour to carry the town’s history within our name. Like many books, the building has lived many lives, and it felt only right to acknowledge a small part of its history and beginnings while creating new chapters of our own.

There’s something truly special about having a bookstore in a country town. You come to know your customers—the stories they’re drawn to and the reasons they love to read. We want every visit to feel like an experience, a small adventure from the moment you step through the door. Our space is friendly, a little quirky, a little whimsical, and filled with books and beautiful things that make you smile. Take your time exploring the shelves of books and gifts, and don’t forget to grab a takeaway coffee while you’re here.

Our online store is always open, so if you can’t see us in person, browse from the comfort of home.
