White Peony (Malaate Vs Sakhekung)
Review by Rev. Dr. Ian McDonald
We truly appreciate your review. Your insight and presentation style are genuine, realistic, and refreshingly free of any gloss, loved it. Coming from a clergyman, it feels all the more meaningful.

Who says first flush teas must all look and taste the same? Their character depends greatly on how the tea maker styles them. They can range from pale yellow, lightly fermented leaves to deep orange-red, fully fermented ones. Fermentation shapes the flavour profile, while rainfall and moisture levels influence how far the leaves can be fermented. First flush teas are simply the spring harvest, the special very first picking of the year, and unlike later seasonal teas, they tend to show less flexibility in characteristics. The one true hallmark of spring harvest teas, however, is their distinct astringency.
From the sunrising hills of eastern Nepal to the tranquil valleys of the west, we’ve brought together the very finest of the first flush teas. And we drink it all day, everyday!
