Latest build off the bench

Champagne sparkle Baritone telecaster.
Features:
- 2 piece alder body wrapped in champagne sparkle drum wrap (same stuff Gretsch uses)
- 4 ply binding
- Bound maple neck with rosewood fretboard
- 12” radius and 28” scale length
- Pearl block inlays
- Stainless steel frets
- Gotoh locking tuners
- Seymour Duncan 78 custom humbuckers and classic stack single coil
- Descendant Companion Jazzmaster bridge
- Jazzmaster trem
- 5 way switch for pickup selection
- Master volume, master tone, and 2x 5 way rotary switch, one for each humbucker that selects either wired in series, north or south coil, wired in parallel or out of phase.

This one isn’t for sale but will be getting a run with the boys this Sunday for the Camp for a Cure event

Late start to 2026 but here we go again!

First one off the bench is this insane Dean Dime Razor that needed some love and attention on one of the Floyd trem posts. A poor attempt at repair had since failed and the only way to fix this now was to replace with new solid wood and re-drill. We don’t cut corners around here 💪🏼 the trem is now stronger than ever and after a quick setup, it’s back shredding again!

Gorgeous little Silvertone 1448 came in recently for a quick once over and freshen up. These were marketed as a cheap “student” guitar throughout the 60’s with their shorter scale length and entry level features, such as the single piece wooden bridge saddle, single lipstick pickup and semi hollow body constructed from masonite board. This guitar received a thorough clean, fret polish and setup and is now ready to rock n roll again!

Big project on the bench this week! Cool old Washburn superstrat in for some repairs, mods and a setup. First up was the repairs on the trem post which required filling and redrilling the post hole. A thin shim was then sculpted and epoxied in the back of the trem cavity to mitigate any potential future blowouts. Next, the mods. We installed a dual rail humbucker in the neck position and then conducted a full electronics overhaul with new pots, switch and output jack. The licensed Floyd Rose was also missing it’s trem arm so we made one custom fit from some 6mm stainless rod. Finally the guitar received a full fret dress, polish and setup with 9-42 elixir strings. This one is ready to go melt some faces once again!

Had a great little sunburst Strat on the bench this week that needed some love.

The guitar sports a handmade neck that had a few issues, including a few high frets that weren’t seated properly during the manufacturing stage. These frets were pulled, slots were cleaned out and the frets were reseated and glued in place tight to the fingerboard. The guitar needed a full fret level, crown and polish and the board was in dire need for a clean and oil.
We also had some tuner ferrules that were falling out due to dodgy drilling of the post holes. These were filled, re-drilled and the ferrules pressed in place again.
We did a quick clean up of the electronics to make sure everything was working as it should and while it was apart, we changed to a black 3 ply pickguard, rather than the red tort guard.
Guitar had a full setup and was restrung with 10-52 elixir’s as per the clients request.
This one is now back out there, ready to tear up the stage once again 🎶
