What’s next?!

This sleek 1960’s Teak Fler Flermark recliner and assembling a mid century open shelf bookscase that I’ve been working on for two weeks. (Thanks burgundy stain and lacquer 🙄)

Finally finished. 🙂

This 1960’s Don Rex Tasmanian Blackwood 2 seater is stunning!

Client chose fabric, origin unknown, just something I had in the sewing room. Its nubbly texture is a retro match made in Heaven.

The single seater is waiting for a decision to made for fabric, both chairs will not be in the same room my client lives in a tiny home, so the world of fabrics is her oyster. I’m really looking forward to seeing her choice.

Progress. When I started sanding I realised pretty quickly the timber wasn’t teak it’s even more spectacular! Tasmanian Blackwood. First coat of danish oil down, two more to go. 🙂

Starting this beauty today.

As much as it looks like a highly coveted Fler Narvik this set is actually Don Rex, there is only one or two subtle differences, the most visible being the small curve/divet on the frame as it meets the back leg on the bottom run.

Underneath that drab brown stain is teak, I can’t wait to see this stripped, those sleek lines are going to pop!

This piece will be for sale, upholstery will be determined based on colour. 🙂
