We aim to offer an interesting selection of books for adults and children, with service and recommendations by people who read the books they sell. We are passionate about promoting literacy for children, taking children's authors to local schools to inspire children to read. If we don't have the book you want in stock, we will order it in for you.

Announced last night, first-time short-listee Omar Musa has won the 2026 Miles Franklin Literary Award for his novel, "Fierceland".

Set against the backdrop of the destruction of Borneo's rainforests which are being cleared to make way for palm oil plantations, siblings Harun and Rozana gradually realise that even in Sydney and Los Angeles, they cannot outrun the fraught legacy of their father, a palm-oil baron in Sabah.

We've got lots of exciting new releases in store this week, but these two caught my eye!

It's been a big few weeks for shortlist announcements in the book world!
Sisters In Crime Australia, a Melbourne-founded organisation (inspired by the American organisation of the same name) that aims to celebrate and share their collective passion for women's crime writing, announced their Shortlist for the 26th Davitt Awards. 16 crime books were selected across fiction and non-fiction categories. The award honours the diversity and power of Australian women, with the final winner set to be announced in September!
