The Yarnkeeper Vest by Wool & Pine is nearly finished, just bands to go! 🎉

It’s looking so cute!

Clare and Tracey have been knitting this for a shop sample, using up lots of little bits of gorgeous colours.
It will be such a nice vest to wear through Spring, can’t wait to see it finished.

A fresh delivery of the much sort after beautiful Noro Madara colour 01 Sake has arrived in the shop! 🎉🎉 株式会社野呂英作｜EISAKU NORO Inc.

They are already selling quickly, so I don’t think we will have them for long. 🧶🧶🧶
You can find them in the New Arrivals menu if you are interested. 😘😘
(There are a few more bags on their way so there should be a bit more in a couple of weeks)

Happy Wednesday peeps! 😊🥰❤️

I have written a little pattern for these easy fingerless gloves that I made a while ago. Just some simple rib and a nice thumb gusset, knit in the round on dpns or small circulars (my preference), they are quick and classic!
And a good project for that single skein of DK you have in your stash, or left overs from other projects.
I have made these is a skein of Maximoo Yarns 8ply in the colour Not AI Generated, but you could use any 8ply or do stripes or make them scrap busting and full of colour. 😊😊😊

They make a nice little handmade gift too!

I have just added the pattern to my Ravelry shop, Julie Harrison Designs, it is there now as a free download. 😊😊

We have been having some fun putting together a few colourful yarn kits for the 2026 West Knits MKAL . (Mystery Knit Along)

This little group of KNITTING FOR OLIVE is looking nice and colourful and filling the kaleidoscope brief. 😊😊

We have added some to the online shop if you are thinking of joining in the annual knitting adventure that is the MKAL. All the info about the MKAL can be found on its Ravelry page, the pattern can be found there too once the Knit along has begun.

There are a mix of 50g and 100g skeins in most kits, so there should be plenty yarn for whatever the knit along throws at you. 😁😁

We are very happy to report a fresh shipment has arrived from Cascade Yarns 🥰🥰🥰
We have some of the lighter colours of the Ecological Wool, but the darker shades are still hard to come by.

Also a nice restock of Heritage Sock yarn , Cascade 220, and Cascade 220 SW, including some lovely new heathered shades which I will add to the shop ASAP 😊😊

Clare and I have been working on a fun scrap busting scarf project recently, Clare has finished hers, and I’ll hopefully have mine finished soon.

We are marling 4 strands of 8ply together and knitting on big needles, so it’s growing quickly! I’m loving how the colours are coming together , it’s fun seeing what new colour is created by the marling of strands. 😍😍😍

Some lovely new super chunky Extra Fine Merino has hit the shelves this week, El Gigante from Araucania Yarns😍😍😍
It is soft and squishy and comes in some beautiful hand painted colours. We have added these to the online shop, you can find them in the New Arrivals Menu if you are interested. 😊😊😊

It’s the first day of Spring, and we are feeling very organised with our September batch of Scrappy packs all ready to go.😊😊😊

I’m feeling very inspired with the arrival of Spring, lots of ideas for things to do in the shop, and lots of my own dyeing to do. ❤️❤️

We still have new stock arriving, so I’ll be adding new yarns to the online shop this week. We are also expecting a delivery from Cascade at the end of the week, so there will be top up on quite a few of their lovely yarns. ( no darker shades of the Ecological Wool unfortunately, hopefully soon though) .
And I’m trying to decide what summer fibres to get into the shop, maybe Silk, or linen or more cottons? Or all of the above? 😬😬

It’s been such a lovely weekend in the shop with Jake Henzler Boy Knits World visiting and running his fabulous Knit the City workshops. 🥰🥰

Everyone has had such a great time and has come out inspired and skilled up to knit their own city of houses.
Jake is a wonderful teacher, and was so generous with sharing his knowledge and process and it was so inspiring to see his amazing blankets in real life.

Big thanks to everyone who came along to the workshops and to Jake and Luke for making the trip down to our shop, we really appreciate you making the effort and have loved meeting you and hope you enjoyed your time in our town too! 😊😊❤️❤️

We are getting ready for our big weekend of workshops and welcoming the wonderful Jake Henzler Boy Knits World to our shop. 🎉🎉🎉

Jake will be here running his Knit The City workshops, and we have been having fun putting some colour palettes together for all the knitters coming along.
We are using the Rauma Garn Finull, it’s perfect for colour work and has so many gorgeous colours, I think the houses are going to look amazing! 😊😊😊

Looking forward to seeing everyone for a fun weekend of knitting! 😘😘😘
