Very excited to be cracking this book tonight. Out late September in Australia, Switzy was recently longlisted for the The Booker Prizes.

The novel is about an ageing man’s final pilgrimage as he battles his own ravaged and unravelling mind. I’m 7 pages in and can already tell I’m going to love it.

We have a monthly fiction book club. This month we read John of John by Douglas Stuart, which incidentally just got long listed for the The Booker Prizes, and one of our wonderful members bought along her baby lamb, Fern whose mum can’t look after her.

For those who haven’t read the novel, it’s set on the Isle of Harris where weaving tweed is their main gig. So the lamb at book club was very on brand considering the context of the book.

What farm animals will we have next month? You’ll have to join us to find out 😂🐑😉
