The monthly (Mar-Dec) Hawthorn Makers Market is a free indoor / outdoor market. Meet the makers! Gifts galore. Meet the makers. All in one central location.

It takes place at the heritage Hawthorn Arts Centre and features hundreds of handcrafted arts & crafts items, fashion, jewellery, accessories and more. The Hawthorn Makers Market normally operates on the first Sunday of each month from March to December at the heritage Hawthorn Arts Centre. The Market has been specially curated to support and showcase independent local art & craft producers and artisans. Includes, Arts, Crafts, Fashion, Jewellery, Soaps, Skincare, Stationery, Homewares, Baby and Kids wear, Japanese textiles, Crafted timber and much more.

😍A LITTLE SUITCASE. A LOT OF LOVE.
Members of the Rotary Club of Camberwell (Managers of the Hawthorn Makers Market), recently visited the Hope in a Suitcase Warehouse to help pack suitcases for vulnerable children.

Each suitcase is filled with carefully chosen, age- and gender-appropriate gifts — providing a small but meaningful reminder to a child that someone cares during what may be one of the most frightening and difficult times in their life. More than 1,500 suitcases have, so far this year, been packed and delivered to government agencies across Victoria.

😁Camberwell Rotary was proud to contribute to this wonderful initiative, made possible through the generous support of a Rotary Foundation District Grant.

🙏Rotary District Governor (2026-27) and Camberwell Rotary Chair of the Hawthorn Makers Market Graeme Hope has been a regular volunteer and contributor to the Hawthorn Makers Market since our beginning many years ago. So it was good to have Graeme attend our August Market (in his new 'DG' role) and catch up with many of our valued stallholders.

Artist, curator and writer Gabrielle Brinsmead will give the youngsters some practical drawing tips. Ideally suited to children 10+ years of age.
