Last year I had the pleasure of taking on a Custom Order Quilt through my Etsy shop for an 18th birthday present. Well, the mumma came back and decided she wanted one for herself!
But this one was going to be different - complex, huge and super special. My client had already picked a design she adored, the Double Wedding Ring pattern, which, as most sewists know is not the simplest, and certainly very time consuming - all those gorgeous curves!
But I agreed to the project, and here she is - finished, gorgeous and ready to post to her new home in Western Australia. She’s a big girl at 95”, and uses Nantucket Summer fabrics by for . She’s been beautifully quilted by Lisa .

Given her size, this lovely big quilt proved challenging to accurately photograph to capture the colours and design. But, she’s been a joy to create, and I truly hope my client loves her for many years to come!

This is Breeze, and she is celebrating being 10 years old in 2025! I first made and released this pattern back in 2015, and as soon as she was made my husband claimed this quilt as his own. In celebration of Breeze’s 10 year anniversary I have refreshed her PDF pattern with a lovely modern overhaul. And of course, now I want to refresh all my patterns in the same style! 😄🤦🏼‍♀️ Breeze is currently on sale for one week to celebrate her 10th birthday, so now is the perfect chance to snap it up. Susan purchased the quilt pattern, Frolic - swipe right to see! It’s an ideal project for a beginner through to the more advanced and encourages the use of a pre cut charm pack. However you are more than able to use fabrics from your own stash for a more unique design. Happy sewing!

This is Daphne. 🐳 Daphne likes blueberry milkshakes, learning to crochet, and going to book club once a month. Or that’s how I imagine her at least. 😄 Daphne is one of my latest little designs I’ve been playing with… maybe she would look right at home on some fabric?
