Servicing a UK Roksan Radius turntable this evening for a customer! Bad caps in the power supply causing motor start issues. This is a very rare turntable in Australia being mostly sold in the UK in the late 90s and early 2000s.

It features a high quality Tabritz tonearm which is interchangeably used with other turntables. Its also fitted with an original Goldring cartridge.

These suffer generally from power supply issues and rubber suspension failure although this one also has motor chasis noise probably due to the suspension dropping.

This late 60s Ferguson turntable was recently found under a house on the Eastern shore of Hobart and who knows how long it sat there! Unfortunately the speakers had completely rotted away but the main unit was able to be saved!

The record player was of course completely seized but the electricals were in pretty good shape for being 60 odd years old. After a few parts were replaced it came straight back to life.

It's probably going to take a while to find a pair of 1960s Fergusson speakers! πŸ€” I better start looking πŸ˜†

Good morning local followers! I have some vintage cartridges that I'm looking to move on. Reach out if you're interested in anything via message to my Facebook business account! I'm posting here first before advertising more widely so you're getting first choice!

All are moving magnet with the exception of the Pioneer.

All will need a new stylus except the moving coil Pioneer.

All have been tested with a multi meter and show resistance on both channels πŸ‘

The Ortofon and Supex no longer have stylii produced however originals and repro options are still available. Research first though!

Price by offer and agreement and happy to post at buyers expense.

Just completed a service and restoration on this Luxman A522 transcription turntable and what a beauty it is!

Featuring a lovely Grace tonearm with a Garrott Brothers cartridge, it has a DC motor driven by a quite hard to find rubber nitrite belt.

The motor is suspended like a Rega using a rubber o-ring belt and this also needed to be replaced. Thanks Tas Bearing and Chain for supplying some of the parts!

When it arrived the original lid and hinges were missing however after fitting a new custom made lid we now have something very special indeed!

Finally it was finished by servicing the tonearm lifter and replacing the dampening fluid.

Just started work on servicing and restoring a Marantz 6300 turntable from 1976. Annoyingly its missing a rear foot and so will need to be either replaced or a new set of feet installed!

These are highly sought after and when completed will make a fantastic deck!
