The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Retail Sales Assistant to join our team. This role involves helping customers choose sewing machines, accessories, fabrics, and supplies while providing exceptional service and product knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist customers with sewing machine and accessory sales
- Demonstrate products and explain features and benefits
- Process sales and maintain accurate transactions
- Replenish stock and maintain attractive product displays
- Answer customer enquiries in person, by phone, and online
- Support workshop bookings and general store operations
About You
- Friendly, approachable, and confident working with customers
- Strong communication and sales skills
- Interest in sewing, quilting, embroidery, or crafting (preferred but not essential)
- Ability to learn technical product information
- Reliable, organised, and able to work as part of a team
- Previous retail or customer service experience is highly regarded
