I've made a beautiful jacket from exquisite embroidered vintage linens and taken some terrible photos of it. It's a small size (10-12) and would make a great layer for Spring/Summer over linen trousers or a slip dress, perhaps.

I've had the most pleasant day hunting through my beautiful collections of vintage embroideries, laces and linens to create this pendant lightshade, and to refresh my memory of what I have. It could also be used on a floor lamp, of the type that has a flexible neck. There is some exquisite embroidery, especially the letter 'B' on one panel of fine, lustrous Irish linen damask.
It measures 26cm tall and 32cm in diameter

You should have started to get Fathers Day sorted by now. How about this seriously vintage barkcloth Not Hawaiian Shirt? Looking at the musicians featured, you'd guess that the fabric dates from the Forties or Fifties. It has appropriate fade patches, but it's gorgeous, with many years left in it. I can make other sizes, but this one measures 58cm across from pit to pit.

Three different stitchers' work all turned into cushion covers. The first is a pair of fine petitpoint embroideries set on some vintage silk that was in my Mum's stash. The second is a self-designed tapestry by a very clever artist (whom I used to babysit!!!) and the third is an elegant Kaffe Fassett design, which I've sewn using some very vintage Irish linen - check out the lustre! There's nothing quite like Irish linen.
