Before playlists, streaming and phones that did everything…
we had cassette tapes, Walkmans, rewinding with a pencil, recording songs off the radio and desperately hoping the DJ didn’t talk over the best part. 😂
We had mixtapes that took hours to make, Rubik’s Cubes, roller skates, ra-ra skirts, neon everything and music that somehow still takes you straight back to a moment in time.
And posters on our bedroom walls… well, not in my house! 😂
I wasn’t allowed posters on my walls… mine were carefully stuck on the inside of my cupboard doors instead. Because apparently that was the compromise! 🤣
Life felt a little simpler.
The music was louder.
The clothes were brighter.
The weekends were longer.
And somehow… we didn’t need much to have fun.
Growing up in the 80s, what’s the ONE thing that instantly takes you back?
For me… it might just be that Walkman and mixed tapes. 🎶
