The young monks were out collecting food from the Thai people around 6am this morning. No shoes on, they walked the streets stopping so people could make merit and receive a blessing. Win win has been hungry at night but has told his mum he can endure the hunger. The boys are given milk and juice at night. For some of the boys this is the first time they’ve been away from their family so it has been tough but they’re all supporting each other to get to the end of their 20 days.
Pui is still riding a wave of happiness as Win win shows her how much he’s enjoying his time in the temple. It’s lovely to see. 🥰🙏🏽

Becoming a ‘little monk’ such a happy, meaningful and memorable day for as her only son Win win became a monk. He will stay at the temple for the next 17 days learning from the monks, waking at 4am every day, walking past houses so Thai people can give an offering of food, finish eating by midday each day and spend time meditating, helping around the temple and understanding the spiritual importance of the Buddhist religion.
A major milestone in the life of a Thai boy and his family. Well done Win win you’ve made your mother so proud Kha 🙏🏽🩷
