Just finalised details for the artist residency I'm leaving for this friday... we'll be running an open studio and workshops while we make a new book, everyone is welcome! (for more details, head over to CHIPRC.com)

Wednesday June 1, 7pm
Welcome Reception for Transit/CHIPRC 2016 Residency Program
Transit and CHIPRC welcome Sarah McNeil and Chris Gooch, both selected as Transit’s Inbound CHIPRC Artists-in-Residence for 2016. Take this time to meet them, ask questions about their work and welcome them to Chicago. There will be light refreshments and drinks available.
Saturday June 4th, 2pm, $30
Learn to Risograph! Make an art print!
Working with our Australian resident artists Chris Gooch and Sarah McNeil, create a unique art print on the risograph and learn how to use the machine. Participate in activities exploring different ways of coming up with ideas for risograph printing and go home with prints of your own. All materials provided.
Wednesday June 6, 7pm, $20
Make a riso-printed mini zine or comic!
Join our Australian resident artists Chris Gooch and Sarah McNeil in making your own 8-page mini comic or zine. Read some zines from their collections, learn about the risograph process, think of some new ideas, have some snacks, make zines and new friends too! All materials provided, but if you have a favorite pen or favorite collage materials bring them along!

Drop into CHIPRC during weekday and Sunday hours anytime from 12-5 and see the artists process. Bring your own projects to work on. Meet this pair of creatives from Australia while they are in town.

From Melbourne to Chicago
Melbourne, Australia-based Chris Gooch and Sarah McNeil, the TRANSIT inbound CHIPRC Artists in Residence, will discuss their comics and other art, as well as their publishing endeavors, particularly in Risograph printing. They will also speak about their experience creating new work in Chicago as part of their residency at the Chicago Publishers Resource Center.
