What happened next has become one of my favourite mysteries of the year.

In 2013, I was commissioned to make a talismanic brooch for David Walsh, briefed by Kirsha Kaechele include text, evoke a peacock, and act as protection against the ATO.
Instead of engraving, I embedded a code, linking to birthday messages from friends around the world.

The brooch was almost delivered to Beverly Hills for David's birthday, but returned to Tasmania, unopened.

Last weekend at MONA, Eddo played a live improvised song that told the full story during a 4pm session in the Nolan Gallery. I've written about it on Substack if you’re curious. Link in bio
