I employ an angel. 🤍

She drops in and out of my chaos with perfectly finished bundles of Gift Me Again bags like this one.

Getting to this point in my business hasn’t come easily. I had to let down my guard, admit that something had to give, and trust that someone else would care about the quality of every handmade bag as much as I do.

And she does.

This morning’s bundle meant I could spend a few precious hours with my family — time that, at this point in the year, I might otherwise have spent behind the sewing machine.

Growing a small business doesn’t always mean doing more yourself. Sometimes it means learning to let someone wonderful help you carry it. 🤍

Christmas sewing.
New prints arriving.
And a whole lot of gift bags slowly piling up.

This is one of my favourite (and slightly chaotic 😆) times of year.

Pop it in. Pull the cords. Done. 🎁

We’re at that funny time of year where I’m still making plenty of birthday and everyday gift bags… while Christmas is very definitely starting to creep in 🎄

With Handmade Canberra only a month away, there’s plenty happening behind the scenes.

And yes, I’m already wondering if I’ve made enough of everything. 😆

A little while ago, I ordered another box of labels.✨

When they arrived, for a moment I just sat there looking at the box.
Not because of the labels themselves, but because of what they represent.

When I say Gift Me Again is handmade in rural Australia, I mean so much more than where the sewing happens.

Every decision - from the fabrics I choose to the way each bag is made - is intentional.

Some of my bags are now sewn by talented women in rural Australia, allowing them to work from home, at their own pace.

Supporting local has always been at the heart of this little business, and I'm so grateful that every order allows me to keep creating here in regional NSW. 🤍
