After a big few months interstate, I am finally returning to Tassie!!!

This means I have plenty of space available for lesson, bit fittings and schoolings.

I can travel easily within Launceston area, or do travel days elsewhere.
Im also available for Theory lessons at PC Rallies.
I regularly travel the State for work, so am in Hobart and North West often.

𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐂𝐚𝐧’𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐈 𝐭𝐨 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐢𝐟 𝐚 𝐁𝐢𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐃𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐋𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐥 𝐨𝐫 𝐍𝐨𝐭

We’re seeing more and more riders searching Google or asking AI tools questions such as:
“Is this bit dressage legal?”

The problem is: AI and Google often pull information from:
• Facebook comments
• Forum discussions
• Old blog posts
• Personal opinions
• Incorrect social media advice

If enough people online say a bit is “illegal,” Google can start presenting that opinion as fact; even when the official rule book says otherwise.

One example we continually see is the 𝐅𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐓𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐮𝐦 𝐁𝐚𝐮𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫, which is often incorrectly labelled online as not dressage legal based on social media interpretations rather than the actual rules; 𝐢𝐬 𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐥.

What is becoming increasingly concerning is that riders are now reporting instances of competition stewards using AI apps or Google searches during gear checks to determine legality; sometimes incorrectly alarming riders moments before entering the arena.

For many riders, this is an incredibly stressful experience before an important test, particularly when the information being relied upon may not even come from the official rule book itself.

AI can be a useful starting point, but it should never replace properly checking the current official rules and permitted bit diagrams. A more regulated and consistent approach to gear checking is needed so riders can feel confident they are being assessed against official regulations... not internet opinions.
