Tonight was our last dance for term three, so there will be a two week break before we’re back for term 4. Yikes, its always a shock when term 4 rolls around!

Bjork was definitely a favourite for me tonight. Anything that lets me pretend I’m in a Hollywood musical for 3 minutes gets my vote! 🤩

Coming along for a dance tomorrow night? I haven’t completed the playlist yet so you’ve still got a chance to email me your requests by tonight!

And for future reference here’s a reminder about how to make your requests!

Make sure you get it to me before Friday midday, but if you make a last minute decision to come to a session, you can try your luck, if I get a chance to swap a song for yours I will.

Send me as many song requests as you like and I’ll include as many as I can make work… my goal
is variety and lots of decades and genres represented. But if you have that ONE song you NEED to hear on particular night, make that clear too and I’ll prioritise it.

Better yet, if you attend regularly, prep a Spotify playlist, send me the link and I’ll pop some of your songs in every week! (I’ll also accept a typed up list, it’s just not as easy- so please make sure that the artist and song title are clear).

Or just come along and enjoy the carefully curated musical journey each Monday!

Tonight we danced to Dolly, and I know we will many, many times again. Loved by so many for good reason. Thanks for all the joy, emotion, kindness, singalongs and dancing Dolly. ❤️

Throw in some Rocky Horror Picture Show music to honour Tim Curry, and it’s a playlist that can’t really go wrong isn’t it! There was so much singing tonight.

How are we feeling today Hurstbridge?

What a brilliant day we had for the Wattle Festival yesterday! I walked, smiled, chatted, ate and danced. An absolute highlight for me was kicking back in the Allwood House gardens and having a boogie to ‘Tender Chook’ along with Miss Wattle and the amazing Hurstbridge community. ❤️

Last night was such a huge joy! Dancing the night away with an amazing DJ Sierra Jane and fabulous locals (and a few who travelled much further) is the best way to re-charge your body and soul!

These events really are becoming a highlight in my year, and I’m thankful I can keep dancing every week at No Lights No Lycra Hurstbridge.

Hursty Dance Club was absolutely magical last night!

I completely adored dancing the night away behind the decks with all the wonderful humans who attended! A massive shoutout to Bec and Matt for doing such an incredible job organising this incredible event, your hard work and dedication is so appreciated in the local community!

My absolute highlight was catching up with old friends I adore so much and losing ourselves on the dancefloor to Levels by Avicii. There is truly nothing quite like shared music memories with some of your favourite people.

Already keen for the next Hursty Dance Club in 2027! 🎉🕺💃🪩 22/08/2026
