Just realised it has been a year since my last post and I just wanted to keep my friends updated on what i have been up to. First of all I just want to say that I realised my impact i had on people when i worked in pick up. I have made so many friends since my departure. I still get messaged every week from customers to see how i am going which is just humbling.
Work has been keeping me so busy and no two days are the same. My work mates are amazing, the kids are fantastic and so rewarding seeing them grow. I wrote a childrens book which the kids love, I have been building a few things such as a petrol pump and just recently a bus. I was honoured to receive a beyond excellence award.
I still use pick up on average twice a week and its great to see my old work mates and customers. Anyway, just wanted to update people who still follow this page, i hope everyone is well and just wanted to say "i miss you all" wishing you all the best and Wes, Jas2 and Dave will see you next week in pick up. Love Jason.

A message from a lady who lives in my street.

"I think I might have to start a fan club for you. At Woolies checkout overheard a customer and the checkout lady saying how much they miss you and how wonderful you are. Piped in and told them how lucky I am that you are my neighbour. Promised that I would give you their love. 🌟”

Ohhhhh, thanks everyone. Even though it has been 6 months I still get regular messages. I miss everyone aswell. Please feel free to keep regular contact. Some of you I have known for 30 years. I do miss everyone and I do pop in every now and again. I unfortunately never got the opportunity to say goodbye to everyone but my injury at the time was the way it just panned out. I hope everyone is well and feel free to drop me a line. Hugs to all. Jason

I hope everyone has been well. Just wanted to give everyone an update as even though I have been gone a while I am still getting amazing messages from people to ask how i am going. (Love).......

Yesterday I was put on permanent with my new work. I am just over the moon and honoured. There is so much work to be done and can't wait to really crack in to it. I am really enjoying it. My dog Rusty also got a volunteer job and has his purple work vest and name badge. I have noticed his job seems to involve hoovering any dropped food and sleeping. Great job if you can get it ha. A pic of him on the schoolbus making sure the kids are on time.

I hope everyone has been well and I hope you have a fantastic Christmas. I know dave has been on holidays and will be returning next week. Have a great week and feel free to keep dropping me messages.

Just an update on what I am doing now. I applied for a job as a handyman at a very large and prestigious childcare centre and guess what................. I am totally loving it. The team are amazing and I was lucky enough to attend the awards night. Seeing some amazing educators winning awards was a highlight. I really felt that I have been taken under their wing. I visit Indooroopilly quite regularly and it is so great to see all my favs. Missing everyone. Have a great week. Jas

What a fantastic holiday. All the way from Noosa, to a beautiful cabin in Toowoomba and now a few days at Alure in Stanthorpe. Rusty has had a great time, loved the penthouse on the beach, stopped at a vineyard on way to Stanthorpe which he was spoilt rotten. Ofcourse Alure had a gift bag with treats, his own bathrobe and bed waiting for his arrival. I am becoming a dog holiday expert. Ha. The weather has actually been perfect, No rain during the day but it has been interesting watching storms forming here in Stanthorpe and starting to make their way East. Well thank you everyone. 5:30 pm was officially my last shift with Woolies, 28 years and 7 months. Looking back at photos really fills me with joy but in reality for me was a really sad way to end my time with Woolworths. I really didn't want to leave. I am going to miss you all. Fantastic customers is what got me through. I will never forget the great times and the fantastic people who I was lucky to meet. Love, love and love.

Thank you to everyone who has contacted me. Currently I have received 89 direct messages, hundreds and hundreds of comments and reactions. 2 personal letters dropped in to pick up, a few boxes of chocs and even someone remembered my fav wine (wow). I have also received 5 job offers and countless messages from my work mates (will miss you all). All of which has been nice and humbling. I just wanted to say that the last 30 years have been magical. I have grown up with so many families. Going to miss everyone. Please feel free to send me a friend's request on Facebook and keep the messages coming or drop a letter in to pick up. You really don't realise how much of a influence you have on people's lives everyday and I would just like to thank everyone who I have met over the years. I wish everyone the best. Thank you.

I just wanted to announce my FAREWELL from Woolworths.
I want to thank ALL my amazing work mates, who work so, so hard. I am going to miss them "beyond words".

Thank you to all the customers who to me, have become friends. I never had a customer in pick up. Everyone was truely a friend.
