Here at Eucalypt Australia, we're frequently asked to recommend a guidebook that covers all eucalypts.
While no physical book could hold the enormous diversity of the 900+ eucalypts, the CSIRO 's Eucalypts of Australia app and website almost manages it. At least for those species that are native to Australia.
Eucalypts of Australia includes an interactive key with complete accounts of 934 species of Angophora, Corymbia and Eucalyptus. There is also an information section with almost everything you need to know about eucalypts, and a handy glossary of botanical terms.
While it can take the beginner user a little practise and perseverance to master the key, anyone can access the 934 fact sheets with images of key identifying features, distribution maps and information on appearance, distribution, taxonomy, habitat and notable historical or cultural information.
Use it for free online via the website, or download the app to use offline (important if you want to take it into the field).
