Back to the kid mohair scarves. This time we're going with antique rose colours from burgundy to dusty pink with rose in between. Lovely combination, it feels somehow soothing 😌

Little update from Rossignol, the brush turkey which builds his nest near our house: we had some drama last Friday. First two maremma dogs from up the road scared Rossignol away, so much so that he ran off full speed through the bush. I scared the dogs away but Rossignol didn't come back all day and left his nest unattended.
It was quite a warm day for winter and behold in the afternoon a goanna appeared. It dug out one egg out of Rossignol's nest, all we found was the shell. So sad, Rossignol was working so hard for weeks now to build the nest and attract females to lay eggs. We don't know there might still be some eggs there.
Rossignol did come back in the evening and he is continuing building the nest and checking the temperature. There were even some females turkeys around yesterday. So there is still hope to get little turkeys this year...
We try to help Rossignol as much as we can like chasing the dogs and goannas away, but at the end of the day it's nature taking its way. This bird is truly the most hard working animal I've ever known!!!!

Today's weaving made me change colours and treadling. First colours were more blue and today I ventured into the greens. Which one is nicer? I actually prefer the green, strange for me as blue is my absolute favourite colour! What do you think?
