🌙🔭 JOONDALUP, JOIN THE WORLD IN LOOKING UP! 🔭🌙

On Saturday, 19th September, people across Australia and around the world will turn their eyes towards the Moon for International Observe the Moon Night.

And this year, you can join the global celebration right here at BinoCentral in Joondalup!

International Observe the Moon Night brings together Moon enthusiasts, families, astronomers and curious minds across the globe for one special night celebrating our closest celestial neighbour.

We'll be setting up telescopes outside BinoCentral and inviting the local community to come along and see the Moon up close with their own eyes.

🔭 Look through a range of telescopes
🌙 Explore incredible lunar craters, mountains and plains
👨‍🚀 Learn about the Moon and lunar exploration
✨ Discover telescopes and backyard astronomy
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦Bring the kids and experience the Moon together
🔭 Already have a telescope or binoculars? Bring them along!

You don't need to know anything about astronomy to take part.

You’ll simply be joining people across Australia and around the world in stepping outside, looking up and sharing the experience of observing the same Moon. 🌏❤️

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who joined us for National Science Week @ BinoCentral!

It was fantastic to see so many young scientists getting hands-on, asking questions and discovering the incredible hidden world around us. 🔍

From examining bugs up close 🐜 to exploring the amazing colours, textures and details hidden inside rocks and minerals 🪨 there were plenty of discoveries and some great reactions along the way!

We loved seeing the curiosity and excitement from all the kids (and quite a few parents too! 😄) as they explored things they might normally walk straight past.

Events like this are all about encouraging kids to get curious, ask questions and discover just how fascinating science can be. We couldn't have asked for a better group of young explorers!

Thank you to every family who came along and helped make the day such a success. 💙
