We are a small not for profit commmunity shop based in Kaniva, West Wimmera Victoria. If you live in the Kaniva area and make, bake or grow, then please pop in and say G'day! We are always on the look out for more home grown fruit and veggies, so if you grow your own and are want somewhere to sell or donate those excess veggies, pls get in touch! Pls like our page to stay connected with updates on

new arrivals, events and meetings! New volunteers are most welcome, we have a variety of volunteer jobs available. Mail order by direct debit is available for most non-perishable products.

✨Meet the Maker ✨

💜⚙️ Meet Christian — one of our youngest creators here at Purple Starfish ✨

Currently in Year 6, Christian is already combining creativity with technology to design and produce his own range of products — including the very popular Kaniva windmill magnets (inspired by our colour-changing windmill!)

Using his home 3D printer and designing through Fusion 360, Christian brings his ideas to life layer by layer — from unique souvenirs to colourful dragons 🐉

His journey started after being inspired by the Year 5 “Print-a-Car” competition at Kaniva College, led by teacher David Staehr 👏 Not long after, he held a stall at the Kaniva Show… and nearly sold out by the end of the day!

Now you’ll find his creations right here in store — a fantastic example of how Purple Starfish supports young makers and new ideas 💫
