Our website has officially been refreshed! 🌿✨

We are proud to share a fresh new look featuring our beautiful Gurrgura Collection — a collection grounded in culture, inspired by country and created with deep respect for the knowledge passed down through our family.

Pilbara Bush Remedy has not been built through government funding, grants, handouts or financial support from outside parties. Everything you see has been created and funded by me—from developing the products and packaging orders to building the brand, updating the website and growing the business.

It has taken many long days, late nights, personal sacrifice and plenty of determination. Every product, label and detail represents how far this small, home-based Aboriginal business has come through hard work and a genuine belief in what I am creating.

This new website is more than just a fresh design—it represents growth, resilience and another important step forward for Pilbara Bush Remedy.

How long is this snake!? 😳🐍🦘
This photo is an incredible example of just how ridiculously well Pythons are built for taking large prey 🐍
This is an Olive Python (Liasis olivaceus), photographed in a gorge in Karijini National Park in northern Western Australia, attempting to haul a wallaroo from a rock pool.
Pythons have incredible tensile and muscular strength. Their bodies are essentially hundreds of vertebrae wrapped in overlapping layers of powerful muscle, allowing them to generate and distribute force along almost their entire length.
And swallowing prey this big is another evolutionary masterpiece.
Despite the old myth, Pythons don’t dislocate their jaws. Their skulls are highly kinetic, the two halves of the lower jaw aren’t rigidly fused at the front, and extremely extensible skin and connective tissues allow the mouth and throat to expand enormously.
They then effectively “walk” their jaws over the prey, alternating each side while backward-curving teeth keep the meal from slipping out.
Un-bloody-believable.
💪🏼🐍

My big son Elijah — hunter, gatherer, carrying generations of knowledge in his hands. 🤎

His grandparents were his first teachers. From the time he was little, they took him out on country and poured their knowledge into him — teaching him how to hunt, gather, read the land, respect country and live by the old ways.

What he knows today is because they made sure their knowledge did not stop with them. They passed it into him, so culture could keep walking forward and it is his duty and responsibility to pass this onto his little brothers.

Their teachings live through him 🥹👣🖤
