🎭 🎶 The incredible 1937 Compton Theatre Organ at Her Majesty's Theatre Ballarat.

🧽 🎹 It was our absolute pleasure to clean the organ following the restoration works to the theatre in preparation for the recommissioning works.

🎆 🎉 The theatre reopens in late 2024.

🎶 🎦 We look forward to the future of the theatre and especially the recommissioning of the very fabulous Compton organ.

🙏 Thank you to Dan and Chris from Ballarat Council for your help and guidance through the process as the building site transformed back into a very well appointed and comfortable theatre.

🤩 Also a huge thanks to Kristy, Annie and Andrew from Her Majesty’s. What an honour to be working with an inspired and inspiring bunch of theatre peeps. It was an absolute joy to share creative ideas and figure out the technical aspects of how to bring the organ back to life in a venue that is the perfect match. Thanks for your passion and enthusiasm for the instrument.

Reading a very important message while on tuning rounds. Two of the three most important ways to take care of your pipe organ between tuning & maintenance visits. The third way is to play it regularly to keep all the moving parts from seizing up.

Some happy snaps from St John’s Camberwell opening recital St. John's Camberwell last Saturday. Thomas Heywood put the organ through its paces showing off the vast range of expression. The incredible acoustic in St John’s blended the sounds perfectly, and the smiles on the faces of all who attended was such a delight for us to share. Thank you all who celebrated with us! ❤️❤️❤️

🎉 What a wonderful celebration of our newly finished rebuild of the organ at St. John's Camberwell on Sunday! Archbishop Rev Dr Philip Freier dedicated the organ during the Choral Eucharist on Sunday, June 2, 2024. It was a joyous service celebrating all things church music!

🌟 St John's has been a second home to our company since we opened our doors in 2024. Sitting in the pews and singing with the congregation to the organ was a special moment for us!

🎶 The music included Jehan Alain's 'Litanies' played by David Byrne, perfectly suited to the organ's abilities with 20th-century French repertoire. The hymns and psalm showed off the organ's tonal palette, with many favourite English hymns celebrating music, musicians (and organ builders!), including the Vaughan Williams 'Old Hundredth' and Parry 'Sing Praise to the Lord'.
