🌊 NEW STALLHOLDER — WELCOME ADRIFT DRIFTWOOD ART 🌊

We’re so excited to welcome Tim from Adrift Driftwood Art to Kingston for the very first time this Sunday! 💜

Born in 1961 and raised beachside on the Derwent, Tim has spent a lifetime drawn to the water — surfing, sailing, diving and fishing — and along the way developed a deep love for the ocean, our coastline and the natural treasures it leaves behind.

Now at 65, Tim says the beach is still his happy place. Surfing may have been replaced by metal detecting, but there’s still something special about spotting a piece of driftwood whose shape catches his eye and imagining what it could become. 🌊

That connection to nature carries through into every piece Tim creates.

Alongside his driftwood art, Tim works with beautiful, ethically sourced Tasmanian timbers, including Huon pine. Each piece is lovingly shaped by hand, then carefully sanded, polished and finished with food-safe Tung oil and beeswax.

For Tim, it’s as much about how a piece feels as how it looks. He describes working with Huon pine as a wonderfully tactile art form — feeling the little imperfections his eyes might miss and continuing to work the timber until it feels every bit as silky as it looks. 💜

The result is something truly special — pieces made slowly, thoughtfully and by hand, with their own natural character and story.

We absolutely love welcoming makers who have a genuine connection to what they create, and we think you’re going to love discovering Adrift.
