KUMBIA MARKETS - the Kumbia Hall Committee has made the difficult decision to not continue with regular markets at the hall in 2024. There are several reasons, including high insurance costs, that are making the market unviable.
We would like to thank everyone who supported the market over the past few years, including the many stallholders, regular customers, and volunteers in the coffee shop and BBQ.
It was a lot a fun and a good thing for the community, but we need to make the best decision for the hall. There will be plenty more community events in the hall, and markets will be run occasionally to support particular festivals and events.
We also have a lot of little shops popping up in Kumbia now, so if you want to get your fix of handmade and local shopping, you can always support the butcher, the servo, the pub, the guitar shop, the little shop opposite the hall and the various stalls with plants and handmade items that people set up along the footpath.
