⚓Wyndham Boat Ramp – Significant Closures from 19 September

Marine piling works are commencing from Thursday, 19 September 2026, with the boat launching facility expected to be closed for the majority of the period through to late November.

Access will be intermittent and difficult to predict, as reopening will depend on construction progress, tide conditions and safety requirements. The facility will be opened whenever it is safe and practical to do so, but users should not rely on access being available.

The Shire understands the importance of the facility to the Wyndham and wider East Kimberley community and is working with the contractor to maximise access where possible. Commercial operators and users with critical access needs should contact the Shire or SMC Marine as early as possible.

Closure and access updates will be shared via Shire social media and SMS.

The East Kimberley Fishing Club is looking for local young artists aged 11–18 to design the official shirt for the 2027 Brown Water Classic.
