Okay first question I’ve been asked straight off the bat…

“Where do you get your blanks from?”

There isn’t one simple answer to this because I source my blanks from everywhere.

Some of my blanks come from places that are easy to access like Kmart, Big W, $2 shops or even online craft destash groups. Honestly, some of my best bargains have come from other crafters clearing out their stash. And who can go past $3 kids t-shirts from Best & Less to personalise something that may not fit for long.

When it comes to actual blanks suppliers, these are my top picks (in no particular order), who I have purchased from in the past:

• For the Love of Craft
• XO Craft
• The Crafty Lorison
• Beads by Daylene (silicone beads)
• Vic Blank Supplies

Where possible, I try not source my blanks from places like Temu or AliExpress (although there are a few exceptions - especially when it comes to magnets!)
Yes, I’ve purchased from them, and yes, small business suppliers can be a little more expensive - but there is a reason for that.

Those blanks have been quality tested, which is especially important with sublimation products and knowing they’ll actually work. Small businesses do all the trial and error, deal with faulty stock, and w**d out the rubbish so you don’t have to.

And that peace of mind? Worth it every time.

A little over 12 months ago, I tried to start selling blanks - and in the end - I gave up. Shipping delays, faulty product, and poor communication. I sunk a lot of money into a sinking boat!

Welcome to 2026! 🎉

You may have noticed a little change around here — I’ve updated my page name as I head into a new direction for the year ahead.

I’ll still be sharing some of my more unique personalised creations, but my main focus will now be on photo fridge magnets, magnet accessories & frames, and 3D printed items.

In amongst our Christmas celebrations I have managed to get through some of the final orders I had. Still a few more to go, almost all finally caught up!

It is with a heavy heart I write that Make It Personal Gifts is taking a temporary closure.
All orders that have been placed or in discussion now will still be completed and ready for pick up or ready to post (hopefully this weekend).

Usually I run all the way through to Christmas and have even completed orders on Christmas Eve to help out. This will not be happening this year. This decision has come from many issues that have happened this year. From orders that were placed and not picked up, customers picking up and not leaving payment (I am as much to blame in this case), and the constant placement of orders with no following communication and then a demand to know if there order will be ready at a moments notice. There has been issues launching a website for smoother transactions, and this has all taken a toll on me being able to run my business.

I will reassess in the New Year if Make It Personal Gifts will continue into 2026.

I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and I cannot thank you all for the support you have given me these past 3.5 years.
