In 1977 Stephen Scott founded The Melbourne Rock Candy Company. Using machines dating back to the early 17th century, armed with traditional recipes and working from his Mother's kitchen, thus began his lifelong passion with creating candy. Now with more staff and apprentices The Melbourne Rock Candy Company will continue to deliver nostalgic sweets to candy lovers in Australia and all over the world. The majority of our delicious sweets are made with corn syrup for its superior taste and wonderful texture. So unless specified otherwise on the packaging, the sweets are 100% gluten free.

Products

The recipes for our rock candy, also known as boiled lollies, stem from traditional candy makers from as far back as England in the 1800s. Throughout the years new recipes and recipes unique to our Company have been added.

You will find classics such as Bulls-eyes, Humbugs, and Acid Drops, to the more modern Bo-Peeps and Fruit-Rocks. Our candy are truly a sweet piece of history.

We use corn syrup for its superior taste and wonderful texture which means our rock candy and lollipop products are gluten-free.

Utilising traditional machines and mostly historical machines, means that we still hand-make our candy. The machines shown on our packaging are still in use today.
