Avalon Pottery will be having a stall at the Galari Arts Festival in Forbes this Saturday- busy packing up lots of mugs , bowls, spoon rests, ring dishes and cups and saucers. Please come and say hello if you’re going too- it is a brilliant day out!

Made some teapots the last few days- so time consuming but cannot wait to decorate them- they will each have two mugs, milk jug and sugar bowl to match.

Getting inspired by these beautiful old chairs and fireplace tiles. People in earlier times spent so many hours decorating everyday things to make them beautiful. We are lucky enough to have lots of these old precious things here - and they have lasted so much longer than most of their modern counterparts. They feel warm and solid and comforting, and they remind me that the hours I spend decorating simple pots are worth it - to make them unique and special so that one day someone might be inspired by them too!
